Ep 11. A Jones for a Smith

Stan Smith is the main character in American Dad. He's a conservative CIA agent who always tries to do the right thing. In season 5 episode 11, titled A Jones for a Smith, a new person will come into their life. Roger, an alien who lives with the family, starts to feel like he's not fitting in. He begins to question whether or not he is truly a member of this family.

Meanwhile, Stan is trying to help his daughter, Hayley, who has a crush on a boy named Ethan. Ethan is part of a group called The Jones Kids, who don't like Hayley and don't want her to be with Ethan. Stan decides to try to convince The Jones Kids that Hayley is cool and deserves to be with Ethan.

Eventually, Roger comes clean to the family about lying to Jackson and feeling like an outsider. The family assures him that he is part of the family and they love him. Roger also finds out that Jackson has been lying to him about being an alien and that he is actually a part of The Jones Kids.

In the end, everything is resolved. Roger stands up to Jackson for lying to him, and Hayley realizes that she doesn't need to change herself to fit in with The Jones Kids. And Stan learns that he can't control who Hayley loves, but he can always be there to support her.
