Ep 18. Great Space Roaster

As the fifth season of American Dad began to wind down, episode 18 brought something new to the table. Roger decides that he is going to cook and eat the Smith family, in order to prove his dominance and worthiness to his fellow aliens.

At first, the Smiths are skeptical. But as Roger starts to make preparations and construction for his enormous oven in the backyard, they start to take him seriously. They begin to fear for their lives, wondering if Roger has finally gone off the deep end after years of living with them.

Despite their concerns, Roger goes through with his plan. He tricks the family into entering the oven one by one, using a variety of tactics such as disguising himself as a celebrity chef and offering cooking tips. Along the way, he also reveals some of his deepest insecurities and secrets, bringing an emotional dimension to the insanity of the situation.

Of course, this being American Dad, things don't quite go according to plan. There are numerous twists and turns throughout the episode, as the Smith family fights back against Roger's increasingly absurd actions. And as always, there are plenty of references and jokes that only fans of the show can truly appreciate.

Overall, "Great Space Roaster" is a standout episode of American Dad's fifth season. It takes the show's signature irreverence and absurdity to a whole new level, while still managing to tell a coherent and entertaining story. And while it's certainly not for the faint of heart, it's a great example of what makes American Dad such a beloved and unique show.
