Ep 9. Stanny Tendergrass

Stan Smith, the CIA agent, has a new hobby: bluegrass music. He goes to a local bar to watch musicians play and is struck by their talent. He decides to take up the banjo and joins a band. As he becomes more involved in the bluegrass scene, he starts to neglect his duties as an intelligence officer.

Meanwhile, Steve, Stan's son, is being bullied at school by a boy named Chad, who always wears a hat. Steve tries to stand up to him, but is unable to. Roger, an alien who lives with the Smith family, decides to take matters into his own hands and dresses up as a southern gentleman to intimidate Chad. The plan works and Chad stops bullying Steve.

Back at the bar, Stan's band is asked to perform at a bluegrass festival. They are excited for the opportunity, but at the same time, Stan receives a mission from the CIA to stop a group of extremists who are planning an attack on the United States. The mission conflicts with Stan's plans to perform at the festival, and he must decide between his duty to his country and his new passion for bluegrass music.

As the day of the festival approaches, Stan attempts to do both, but fails miserably. He tries to play the banjo while on the mission, but ends up getting captured by the extremists. While tied up, he has a vision of his late father, who tells him that he is not a true bluegrass musician because he is not playing from the heart.

Stan takes his father's advice and plays a heartfelt song on his banjo, which moves the extremists to tears. They release him and he is able to stop their plan to attack the United States.

In the end, Stan realizes that he cannot balance his two passions and decides to give up bluegrass music to focus on his work for the CIA. He gives his banjo to his friend, who promises to continue playing with the band. Steve also learns the valuable lesson that bullying is never the answer, and that he should never be afraid to ask for help.
