Roger the Alien is up to his old tricks again in season 8, episode 8 of American Dad entitled Finger Lenting Good. In this episode, Roger is convinced that he is a stand-up comedian and decides to enter the local comedy competition. With confidence soaring, Roger is convinced he will win the competition and become the next big thing, but he quickly learns that not everything is as easy as it seems.

As Roger prepares for the competition, he starts to have doubts about his ability to make people laugh. To make matters worse, he cannot seem to come up with anything remotely funny. Stan, the head of the household, offers to help him out by giving him a few jokes. However, Stan's jokes are old and not very funny, and Roger is left struggling to come up with something new.

Meanwhile, Steve, Stan's son, is on a quest to conquer his fear of touching people's hands. Steve has always had an issue with germs and dirt, and he has a particular aversion to touching things that other people have touched. Determined to overcome his fear, he decides to start small by touching things that people have touched, such as his own pillow or his own dirty clothes.

As Steve's quest unfolds, Roger begins to realize that he might be onto something with his stand-up routine. He starts to incorporate some of his own personal experiences into his routine, such as his love for finger food. This leads to his catchphrase "Finger Lenting Good," which catches on with the audience. As the competition progresses, it becomes evident that Roger's routine is a hit, and he ends up advancing to the final round.

In the final round, Roger faces off against his arch-nemesis, Bob Todd. Bob is the reigning champion of the competition, having won it for the past five years. Bob's routine is polished and professional, and he is only getting better with each passing year. Roger is intimidated at first, but he quickly realizes that he has something that Bob doesn't; authenticity. Roger's unfiltered routine is appealing to the audience, and he ends up winning the competition.

In the end, Steve's quest to conquer his fear of touching people's hands ends up intersecting with Roger's success as a comedian. Steve inadvertently ends up touching Bob's hand, which leads to Bob getting sick and not being able to perform in the final round. With Bob out of the way, Roger is able to take full advantage of his opportunity and become the new champion. The episode ends with Roger basking in his newfound success, dreaming of the day when he will be able to perform at the biggest venues around the world.

Overall, Finger Lenting Good is a classic episode of American Dad that showcases the unique personalities of the show's characters. Whether it's Roger's hilarious stand-up routine or Steve's quest to overcome his fear of touching people's hands, there is never a dull moment in this fun and entertaining episode. Fans of the show will love seeing their favorite characters in action, and newcomers will be instantly hooked by this hilarious and heartwarming episode.
