Ep 13. The Seven Wonders

The Seven Wonders is the final episode of American Horror Story's third season titled "Coven". The episode revolves around the seven wonders, a test used to identify the next Supreme, the most powerful witch of the Coven. The remaining four candidates, Zoe, Queenie, Madison, and Misty, must perform each of the seven wonders to prove their worthiness.

The first wonder is telekinesis which allows the witches to move objects with their minds. The girls all demonstrate their abilities to move objects with varying success. Meanwhile, Cordelia and Myrtle prepare a potion to help Misty resurrect a bird that has died, to prove her power to the coven. The second wonder is concilium which allows the witches to control other people's minds. Madison has the most success with this test, but the other girls struggle.

The third wonder is transmutation which allows the witches to teleport. The girls must teleport from the house to an undisclosed location and back. Zoe and Misty are both successful, but Queenie seems to be having trouble with the spell, and Madison doesn't even attempt it.

The fourth wonder is divination which allows the witches to see the future. Cordelia gives each girl a test, and Misty is the only one who succeeds in the task. The fifth wonder requires the witches to move objects from one place to another using only their mind, also known as teleportation. Madison finally succeeds in this task, while Queenie struggles once again.

The sixth wonder is vitalum vitalis, which is the power to give and take life. Misty successfully passes this test by bringing a dying plant back to life. The final wonder is Descensum, which is the ability to travel into the afterlife. Cordelia warns the girls that this task is the most dangerous of all and that they must confront their own personal hells. Zoe, Queenie, and Madison all pass, but Misty does not return from the afterlife.

Cordelia declares that Zoe, Queenie, and Madison have all passed the seven wonders and are capable of becoming the next Supreme. However, in the end, Cordelia herself becomes the new Supreme. The episode ends with Madison trapped in her personal hell, Zoe having been revived, and Queenie working as a receptionist at the witch academy.

The Seven Wonders marks the end of the third season of American Horror Story. The episode is a thrilling conclusion to the season-long story of witches and their fight for power.
