We then travel to the Colombian Amazon to visit the Huitoto people, a tribe that has been deeply affected by the violence of the country's long-running conflict. Despite the challenges they face, the Huitoto have managed to maintain their language and traditions, including their unique system of sacred songs. Paulo meets with a Huitoto shaman who explains the importance of these songs in their culture and performs one for us.

Throughout the episode, we also learn about the threats facing indigenous communities in the Amazon, including deforestation, mining, and oil drilling. Paulo introduces us to activists and organizations working to protect the rainforest and the people who call it home.

The episode ends with a stunning aerial shot of the Amazonian rainforest, a reminder of its vastness and the importance of preserving this ecosystem for future generations.
