Ep 4. Hellbound

Angel season 5, episode 4 "Hellbound" follows the team at Angel Investigations as they investigate a mysterious portal that keeps appearing in a prison facility. After the previous episode of the show, the team found themselves short one member and with a lot of questions. In "Hellbound," they set out to get some answers.

The episode opens with the discovery of the portal in the prison, leading to an investigation by the team. They quickly discover that the portal leads to some sort of hellish dimension, and decide to send in Spike to investigate. Meanwhile, Wesley is still struggling with the loss of Fred and the strange behavior of Illyria, the demon who has taken on Fred's form.

Back on Earth, the team starts to notice strange things happening around them, including mysterious fires and creepy whispers. The team makes their way through the portal and into the hell dimension, facing off against all sorts of terrifying creatures along the way. But as they get deeper into the maze, they start to realize that they may have bitten off more than they can chew. The dimension seems to be changing around them, and they don't know if they'll ever be able to find their way out.

As they go deeper, they discover that the prison inmates have been using the portal to try and escape, but instead have become trapped in the hellish maze. The team realizes that they must find a way to shut down the portal and stop any more people from becoming trapped inside.

But as they work to shut down the portal, they find themselves facing powerful demons who will stop at nothing to keep the portal open. With Spike still missing, the team must fight for their lives in order to complete their mission and make it out of the hell dimension alive.

"Hellbound" is a tense, action-packed episode that explores the idea of what happens when we try to escape our past. The team is forced to confront their own demons as they face the horrors of the hell dimension, and Wesley in particular is forced to confront the fact that he may never be able to move on from his loss.

Overall, "Hellbound" is a strong episode that keeps the audience on the edge of their seat. The stakes are high, the action is intense, and the emotional beats hit hard. It's a great addition to the fifth season of Angel, and leaves viewers eager to see what happens next.
