In the final episode of Arrested Development season 3, titled "Development Arrested," the Bluth family finally faces the consequences of all their misdeeds.

Michael tries to keep the family together and buy them some time by staging a fake fundraiser to deceive the SEC, but it quickly falls apart when Gob reveals that he’s engaged to the family's old flame, Marta. This revelation sets off a chain reaction of events that causes Michael to question his loyalty to his family and his own values.

Meanwhile, Lucille 2 announces that she’s running for Congress and ads featuring her attack on the Bluths begin airing on TV. And as if that weren't enough, it’s revealed that George Sr. is actually in the attic, having been hiding there for months without anyone realizing it.

Throughout the episode, there are numerous call-backs to earlier moments in the series, as loose threads from previous seasons are tied up and the plot threads are brought to a close. The show's trademark wit, humor, and absurdity are all present as the characters make their final attempts to evade responsibility for their actions.

As the episode progresses, it becomes clear that none of the Bluths are going to be able to avoid the consequences of their actions forever. Michael must come to terms with the fact that his family is a lost cause and that he can’t fix everything. Meanwhile, Gob realizes that he has to take responsibility for his own life, while Tobias continues to pursue an acting career despite his utter lack of talent.

In the end, the Bluths are left to deal with the fallout from their actions. The SEC begins investigating them for fraud, and their lives are forever changed as a result.

Despite the fact that the show was cancelled after its third season, "Development Arrested" provides a satisfying conclusion to the series. While it’s clear that the characters haven’t necessarily learned from their mistakes, they are at least forced to confront them in a way that they haven’t before.

Overall, "Development Arrested" is an entertaining and fitting end to Arrested Development’s run on television. It manages to wrap up the numerous plotlines in a way that feels satisfying while still remaining true to the show’s quirky, offbeat humor. If you’re a fan of Arrested Development, this episode is not to be missed.
