Ep 11. A.W.O.L.

In Arrow season 4 episode 11, titled "A.W.O.L.," the focus is split between two storylines. The first centers on the team's attempts to stop Shadowspire, a group of ex-military operatives who have managed to steal several pieces of high-tech equipment. At the same time, they must also deal with the fallout from the revelation that Diggle's brother Andy is still alive and working with Shadowspire.

The second storyline deals with the character of Felicity, who faces a difficult decision when her mother Donna arrives in town and begins meddling in her personal life. Complicating matters is the fact that Felicity's father, who she has not seen in years, is also in town.

The episode opens with a tense scene in which Shadowspire members break into a secure facility to steal a prototype weapon. While the team initially believes that Darhk is behind the theft, it soon becomes clear that it is unrelated to his activities. The group sets out to track down the stolen weapon and learns that it is being transported through the city on a truck.

Meanwhile, Donna Smoak arrives in Star City and immediately begins to cause problems for Felicity. She shows up at her daughter's workplace, brings up old memories, and even tries to set her up on a date. At the same time, an unexpected visitor arrives in town – Felicity's father, who abandoned her family when she was young. Felicity is shocked to see him and unsure of how to react.

Back with the team, they catch up to the stolen truck but are ambushed by Shadowspire members. The ensuing fight is intense and well-choreographed, with several of the members displaying a high level of tactical skill. Though the team ultimately manages to secure the weapon, they are left reeling by the realization that Shadowspire is a much bigger threat than they initially thought.

As the episode progresses, both storylines come to a head. Felicity ultimately decides to confront her father, leading to a heartfelt conversation between the two that sheds some light on their past. The scene is poignant and well-acted, with Emily Bett Rickards particularly shining in her role as Felicity.

The team, meanwhile, learns that Shadowspire is planning a major attack on A.R.G.U.S. headquarters and sets out to stop them. They manage to infiltrate the facility and engage in a brutal shootout with the members. In the chaos, Diggle has a chance to confront his brother and attempt to bring him back to the side of justice. This leads to a tense scene that showcases the excellent dynamic between the two actors.

Overall, Arrow season 4 episode 11 is a strong entry in the series. It balances action with character development and manages to move both storylines forward in a satisfying way. Fans of the show will definitely not be disappointed by this episode.
