Ep 14. Not So Great Grandma

Ben Wheeler, the protagonist of Baby Daddy, is a young man who finds himself unexpectedly thrown into fatherhood when his ex-girlfriend leaves their baby girl, Emma, on his doorstep. Along with his two best friends, Tucker and Riley, and his overbearing mother, Bonnie, Ben must navigate the challenges of raising a child while still trying to figure out his own life.

In season 5 episode 14, entitled "Not So Great Grandma," the gang is in for a surprise when Bonnie's mother comes to town for a visit. Nana Lyle, as she is affectionately known, is a larger-than-life figure who has always been a bit of a wild card. Meanwhile, Danny is dealing with his own family issues. He is still struggling with his feelings for Riley, even though she is now dating someone else. He confides in Tucker, who encourages him to talk to Riley and tell her how he feels. Danny decides to take Tucker's advice and goes to see Riley at her apartment.

When he arrives, he finds that Riley's new boyfriend, Brad, is also there. Danny is immediately jealous, but tries to hide it. They all end up having a tense conversation, with Danny struggling to express his emotions. Riley ultimately tells him that while she cares for him deeply, she is with Brad now and wants to see where things go.

Back at the carnival, Nana Lyle has disappeared with Emma. The group panics, assuming the worst, but they eventually find her in the photo booth, where she has taken dozens of silly pictures with Emma. As they all pile into a car to head home, Nana Lyle announces that she has a surprise for everyone. She takes them to a strip club, where she proceeds to get drunk and dance on stage.

The group is horrified, but they can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Eventually, they manage to drag Nana Lyle out of the club and take her back home. Bonnie is furious with her mother for causing so much trouble, but Nana Lyle remains unrepentant. She tells Bonnie that she needs to loosen up and have some fun once in a while.

As the episode comes to a close, Danny and Riley sit down to talk things out. Danny confesses that he still loves her, but understands that she wants to be with Brad for now. Riley is touched by his honesty and they hug. They both know that there are still feelings between them, but they also know that they have to see where life takes them.

"Not So Great Grandma" is a light-hearted and entertaining episode of Baby Daddy that showcases the show's quirky humor and lovable characters. While there is some drama between Danny and Riley, it is ultimately a feel-good episode that focuses on the importance of family and having fun. Fans of the show are sure to enjoy this installment and its hilarious antics.
