The rest of the episode follows Batman's attempts to stop Catwoman and her criminal associates from carrying out their plan. Along the way, he also tries to understand why Selina Kyle, a seemingly goodhearted activist, has turned to a life of crime.

As usual, the animation in this episode is top-notch, with dark, atmospheric backgrounds and detailed character designs. The voice acting is also superb, with Kevin Conroy delivering a commanding performance as Batman and Adrienne Barbeau bringing sass and charm to her portrayal of Catwoman.

Overall, "The Cat and the Claw" is a strong opening episode for Batman: The Animated Series. It sets the tone for the rest of the season and introduces viewers to the show's unique blend of action, drama, and humor.
