Ep 5. Mongolian Death Worm

In "Beast Hunter" season 1 episode 5, titled "Mongolian Death Worm," host Pat Spain travels to the Gobi Desert in Mongolia in search of a legendary creature known as the Mongolian Death Worm. The creature is said to be a large, bright red worm that can grow up to five feet in length and emits a deadly electric shock.

Spain begins his investigation by talking to local herders who claim to have seen the creature. They describe a creature that lives underground and only emerges during the hottest months of the year. To try and find the creature, Spain sets up a tent in the desert and begins searching for signs of the Mongolian Death Worm. He uses a metal detector to try and detect any electrical activity underground, but has no luck. He also sets up camera traps and digs in areas where locals have reported seeing the creature, but again finds no evidence.

As the days pass, Spain becomes increasingly frustrated and begins to doubt that the Mongolian Death Worm even exists. However, his luck changes when he meets a group of people who claim to have captured a Mongolian Death Worm.

Spain is initially skeptical, but when he sees the creature for himself he is shocked. The creature is bright red, just as the locals had described, and emits a powerful electric shock. Spain carefully studies the creature and takes samples to be analyzed in a lab.

Back in the lab, Spain discovers that the creature is not a worm at all, but a type of salamander that has adapted to living in the desert. The salamander has bright red skin to protect it from the sun and emits an electric shock to ward off predators.

While Spain is disappointed that the creature is not the legendary Mongolian Death Worm, he is excited to have discovered a new species of salamander that has never been documented before. He shares his findings with the local people and the scientific community, and his experience serves as a reminder that even when searching for legendary creatures, new discoveries can be made.
