Bent is an American sitcom that appeared for a single season before being cancelled by network NBC. Despite an impressive cast and production team the show ran for a single six episode season before being cancelled because of low viewing figures; the plot of the show revolves around the romantic relationship between a lawyer and the contractor hired to install a kitchen in her home.

Amanda Peet stars in Bent as a recently divorced lawyer who is trying to juggle bringing up her daughter alone with her job and the renovations being carried out on her home; on top of these problems Alex is also dealing with the fact her ex-husband has been sent to jail for the crime of insider trading. Contractor Pete, played by David Walton is hired to install a new kitchen in Alex's home in an attempt to rebuild a reputation damaged by his gambling and problems with the women he works for; the crew helping Pete install the kitchen are inept at their jobs and wreak havoc as they attempt the kitchen installation. As the season progresses Alex begins to recognize she has feeling for Pete, who she has warned will be fired if he makes a romantic move towards her.

As one of the lowest rated new shows on the NBC network in its Spring schedule Bent was cancelled after six episodes despite being created and developed by writer Tad Quill. Following his rise to prominence on the NBC and ABC sitcom Scrubs, Quill was given a two year development contract at NBC that resulted in the commissioning of Bent. Each of the six episodes of Bent was written and edited to run for around 21 minutes and be broadcast in a 30 minute time slot.

The critical reception for Bent was positive and the performances of film actress Amanda Peet and former Arrested Development actor Jeffrey Tambor singled out for positive comments by the press.

Bent is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (6 episodes). The series first aired on March 21, 2012.
