Ep 4. Mother, Meet What's His Name

Samantha's mother, Endora, pays her a visit on short notice, and when Samantha informs her that she has married a mortal man, Darrin Stephens, Endora is less than pleased. She immediately sets out to sabotage Darrin's first important advertising campaign for the McMann and Tate agency by making everyone who sees the campaign see pigs in place of whatever else it was portraying. Samantha quickly realizes what her mother is up to and tries to intervene, but Endora is determined to break up Samantha's marriage to Darrin by making him look like a failure. Meanwhile, Darrin is unaware of the supernatural powers at play and continues to work hard to impress his boss, Larry Tate, who becomes increasingly frustrated with the pig-filled campaign.

As Samantha tries to smooth things over with Larry and convince him that Darrin's campaign is still valuable, Endora decides to up the ante by bringing in another witch, a former flame of Samantha's named Rollo, to help her cause. Rollo is charming and handsome, and Endora hopes that he will distract Samantha from her mortal husband and perhaps even get her to leave him. However, Samantha is strong-willed and determined to make her marriage work, so she rebuffs Rollo's advances.

Meanwhile, Darrin becomes more and more frustrated with the campaign's lack of success, and it begins to affect his relationship with Samantha. Larry is constantly on his case, and Darrin feels like he is letting both Samantha and McMann and Tate down. Samantha tries to reassure him that everything will work out, but Darrin is beginning to doubt his own abilities.

As the day of the presentation draws nearer, Samantha realizes that she needs to take drastic action to save Darrin's career and their marriage. She speaks to her mother, who finally reveals her true feelings about mortals and magic. Endora is angry and hurt that Samantha has chosen a mortal man over her own kind, but she agrees to help with the campaign. Together, they create a spell to undo the pig transformation and restore the campaign to its original form.

On the day of the presentation, Darrin is nervous as he takes the stage. However, he is shocked when he sees that the campaign has been restored. The audience is wowed by the images on the screen, and McMann and Tate are thrilled with the success of the campaign. Darrin is relieved and overjoyed, and he and Samantha hug onstage.

As the episode comes to a close, Endora admits that she was wrong about Darrin and that he is a good man. Samantha and Darrin reaffirm their love for each other and their commitment to their marriage, while Endora looks on, still a little uncertain of her place in her daughter's life.
