Missouri at Oklahoma: Oct 13, 2007 is the fourth episode of the first season of Big 12 Football: From the Archives. This episode takes us back to the 2007 college football season when the Missouri Tigers traveled to Norman, Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma Sooners in a highly anticipated Big 12 Conference matchup.

The Missouri Tigers entered the game with a perfect 5-0 record and were ranked #11 in the country. Led by quarterback Chase Daniel, the Tigers' high-powered offense had scored over 40 points in four of their first five games. The Oklahoma Sooners, on the other hand, were looking to bounce back after suffering their first loss of the season to the Colorado Buffaloes the week prior. Despite the loss, Oklahoma was still ranked #6 in the country and had aspirations of making a run at the national championship.

The game got off to a slow start with both teams struggling to move the ball early on. It wasn't until midway through the first quarter when Missouri struck first, scoring on a 38-yard touchdown pass from Daniel to tight end Chase Coffman. Oklahoma responded with a touchdown of their own just a few minutes later when running back Chris Brown found the end zone from one yard out, tying the game at 7-7.

The game remained tied until late in the second quarter when Missouri kicker Jeff Wolfert nailed a 43-yard field goal to give the Tigers a 10-7 lead heading into halftime. Both teams struggled offensively in the third quarter, but Missouri was able to extend their lead to 13-7 midway through the quarter when Wolfert hit another field goal, this time from 43 yards out.

Oklahoma's offense finally came to life in the fourth quarter when quarterback Sam Bradford connected with wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias for a 17-yard touchdown pass, giving the Sooners a 14-13 lead with just over ten minutes remaining in the game. The Oklahoma defense came up big on the ensuing Missouri possession when they intercepted Daniel and returned the ball deep into Missouri territory. A few plays later, Brown scored his second touchdown of the game to extend Oklahoma's lead to 21-13.

Missouri had one more chance to mount a comeback, but their hopes were dashed when Daniel threw his second interception of the game with just over a minute remaining. Oklahoma was able to run out the clock and secure the victory, improving their record to 6-1 on the season.
