Birdz is an American-Canadian animated television series that aired on CBS Network from September 12, 1998, to January 23, 1999. The show was developed by Michael Donovan and Christopher Grace, and produced by Nelvana Limited in association with CBS Productions. The animated series revolved around the misadventures of a flock of birds who lived in the fictional town of Birdland Heights.

The main character of the show was a teenage crow named Eddie Storkowitz (voiced by Adam Greydon Reid). Eddie was the son of the town mayor, who often found himself in all sorts of trouble due to his impulsive behavior and lack of foresight. Eddie's best friends were his fellow birds, including his girlfriend Lizzy (voiced by Susan Roman), a sparrow who worked as a waitress, and Benny (voiced by Frank Welker), a pigeon who owned a diner.

Other characters in the show included the bossy Blue Bird (voiced by Jill Frappier), who served as the editor of the Birdland Heights newspaper, and Cecil (voiced by Tony Rosato), a wise-cracking seagull who worked as a delivery bird. The show also featured various animal characters such as cats, dogs, and even a skunk, who were often the main antagonists of the storylines.

The plot of each episode was loosely structured around the daily lives of the bird residents of Birdland Heights. However, the show primarily relied on comedic situations and slapstick humor to deliver its stories. Many of the episodes centered around Eddie's schemes to get rich quick, which often ended up causing chaos for the entire town.

Despite its short run, Birdz received positive critical reception for its witty writing and humor. The show's animation was also praised for its colorful and upbeat visual style, which perfectly captured the energetic tone of the series. Birdz also stood out for its diverse cast of voice actors, who brought their unique personalities to the various bird characters.

Overall, Birdz was a charming and entertaining animated series that offered a fun, lighthearted look at the lives of birds. Although its run was cut short, the show has continued to garner a niche fanbase and remains a beloved classic of 90s animation.

Birdz is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (13 episodes). The series first aired on October 3, 1998.
