Bizarre Foods is back with its eighth season and in the ninth episode, they are celebrating their 100th episode. Host Andrew Zimmern is once again ready to take his audience on a journey through some of the most bizarre and delicious foods from around the world.

The episode begins with Andrew introducing viewers to some of his most memorable and bizarre meals from the past seven seasons. From fermented fish in Iceland to scorpion soup in Thailand, Andrew’s culinary adventures have opened up a whole new world of food to his viewers, and this episode celebrates these experiences.

Next up, Andrew takes us on a visit to one of the biggest food markets in the world, the Mercado de San Juan in Mexico City. Here he meets with some of the market’s most interesting vendors, including a woman who specializes in selling exotic meats like deer, bear, and armadillo. Andrew tries some of her delicacies and finds them to be surprisingly delicious and flavorful.

After Mexico, Andrew takes us to his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, to visit some of his favorite food spots. The episode moves at a quick pace as we see Andrew devouring everything from homemade bratwurst to spicy Sichuan noodle dishes.

Next up, we travel to the other side of the world, to Tokyo, Japan. Here, Andrew experiences some of the most bizarre foods yet, including deep-fried crickets, raw horse meat, and the infamous fugu, or pufferfish. This Japanese delicacy is infamous because if not cooked correctly, it can be deadly. Andrew takes the risk and tries it anyway, and thankfully he lives to tell the tale!

From Japan, we travel back to the United States to explore some of the country’s unique regional foods. Andrew takes us on a tour of some of the most unusual and delicious foods from across the country, including crawfish in Louisiana, Rocky Mountain oysters in Colorado, and cactus tacos in Arizona.

The episode concludes with a retrospective of the show’s past 100 episodes. Andrew takes a moment to reflect on the impact the show has had on his life and the lives of his viewers. He talks about how Bizarre Foods has become a platform for him to explore different cultures, connect with people from all walks of life, and learn about different cuisines.

Overall, Bizarre Foods Season 8 Episode 9 is a celebration of the show’s success and the incredible culinary journey that Andrew has taken viewers on over the years.
