Watch Blood for the Gods

Blood for the Gods is a television documentary series that looks into some of the most gruesome practices by some of the most powerful empires throughout history, specifically focusing on their many rituals of torture and self-harm for the purpose of sacrificing to the gods. The show pays close focus to certain civilizations including the African Royals, Pawnee Indians, Aztec Indians, the Egyptians, and the Chinese, focusing solely on their different methods for appeasing the gods through the homage paid for by their own blood. For thousands of years, ancient civilizations had been practicing sacrifices, and now with the aid of computer scientists and other experts, science will attempt to examine the thought processes behind some of these gruesome acts committed by so many different civilizations.
