Ep 11. Baggage

After a week-long hiatus due to the Thanksgiving holiday, Blue Bloods returns with season 5 episode 11 called "Baggage" that focuses on the Reagans as they deal with the fallout of past secrets and how they can move forward.

The episode starts with Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) helping a woman who has seemingly been robbed. However, when they discover her bag is filled with drugs, they quickly realize that they are in the middle of a larger drug operation putting the couple in danger.

Meanwhile, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is dealing with the news that a former police officer has been exonerated for a crime he was convicted of committing years prior. The officer in question, Jimmy Burke (Dylan Walsh), was accused of planting evidence to convict a drug lord, but all the evidence was thrown out due to a technicality. Frank is conflicted with the decision to reinvestigate the case, as he knows there is a good chance that Burke did plant the evidence and may have perverted justice.

Elsewhere, Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) and his partner Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) are investigating a robbery where a woman was beaten and nearly raped. They soon discover that the initial suspect has an alibi and realize that they may be looking for someone else - someone with a grudge against the victim.

Finally, Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) is dealing with a heart-wrenching pro-bono case involving a boy who was badly beaten by his mother's boyfriend. As she digs deeper into the case, Erin discovers dark secrets about the boy's mother and her past relationship with the abuser, making her question the boy's future safety and custody.

As the episode progresses, the Reagans are forced to confront the difficult realities of the world they live in. But in the midst of chaos and turmoil, they cling to each other and the unwavering love and support that comes with being a part of the Reagan family.
