BrainSurge was a popular kids' game show that aired on Nickelodeon from 2009 to 2011. Hosted by Jeff Sutphen and co-hosted by Lilly Petruzzi, this wildly entertaining show featured kids competing in a series of mental challenges in order to test their memory, agility and quick thinking.

The format of the show relied heavily on the use of oversized, brightly colored foam shapes, which the contestants had to jump, crawl, and slide through in order to collect "brain cells." These brain cells were essentially points, which they would accumulate throughout the game in order to boost their chances of winning the grand prize: a trip to Orlando, Florida.

In each episode, two teams of three kids (dubbed "the red team" and "the blue team") went head-to-head in different rounds of challenges. These challenges were designed to test different aspects of their mental abilities, such as memory, pattern recognition, and problem-solving.

One of the most notable rounds was "Brain Fart," in which contestants were shown a sequence of numbers or shapes on a screen, and then had to run across the stage to a giant brain-shaped button and hit it to stop the sequence. After a brief pause, the sequence resumed, but with one element missing. The contestants had to identify what that missing element was in order to score points.

The show also featured several physical challenges. One of the most memorable was "Splat Down," in which contestants had to slide down a giant slide covered in gooey slime and hit a button at the bottom before their opponent did. The kids would often end up covered head-to-toe in slime, much to the delight of the audience.

Throughout the show, Lilly Petruzzi played an important role as co-host, often assisting Jeff Sutphen in explaining the rules of the game and cheering on the contestants. She was known for her bubbly personality and infectious energy, and quickly became a beloved fixture of the show.

Overall, BrainSurge was a highly entertaining and engaging show that provided a fun and interactive way for kids to test their mental and physical skills. The combination of colorful graphics, wacky challenges, and talented young contestants made for a truly memorable viewing experience.
