Jake and Amy compete with each other as they both want the same thing - a new and comfortable mattress for their respective apartments. This competition turns into a hilarious rivalry, with the entire precinct taking sides and getting involved. Meanwhile, Terry, Charles, and Rosa team up to solve a caffeine-related workplace problem, and Gina tries to help Holt improve his social media presence.

As the episode opens, Jake and Amy are seen discussing their respective sleeping problems, and they both decide that they need a new mattress. When they realize that they are interested in the same type of mattress, they make a bet to see who can get it first. They agree that the winner of the bet will get the mattress, and the loser would have to wear a medal of shame for a week.

The competition between Jake and Amy quickly escalates, with both of them going to great lengths to get the mattress. They both try to bribe the salesman at the store, and both come up with elaborate plans to sabotage each other's attempts to get the mattress. In the end, they both end up getting the mattress, but only after they agree to share it.

While Jake and Amy are focused on their mattress competition, Terry, Charles, and Rosa are dealing with a different workplace problem. They discover that some of the officers are using caffeine pills to stay awake during their shifts. When they confront the officers about it, they refuse to stop using the pills.

Terry, Charles, and Rosa then come up with a plan to replace the caffeine pills with decaf pills, hoping that the officers will not notice the difference. However, their plan backfires when one of the officers discovers the switch, and they are all caught. They end up getting punished with a caffeine ban, which is a disaster for all the officers who rely on caffeine to do their job.

Meanwhile, Gina tries to help Holt improve his social media presence by teaching him how to take good photos and write engaging captions. However, Holt is not interested in social media and has trouble understanding why it's important. In the end, Gina manages to convince him to give it a try, and he ends up surprising everyone with his newfound social media skills.

Overall, this episode is a funny and lighthearted look at the competitive nature of the characters in the show. It also touches on some relatable workplace problems and shows the importance of adapting to new technologies. Fans of the show will enjoy the hilarious hijinks of Jake and Amy as they compete for the ultimate prize - a comfortable mattress.
