On the sixth episode of the second season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the town of Sunnydale is preparing for Halloween and so is the Scooby Gang. Buffy, Xander, and Willow are all planning to attend a party at a frat house, and costumes are being chosen left and right. However, the owner of the store where Buffy gets her costume has other plans.

Ethan, a chaos-worshipping demon who has a history with Giles, the school's librarian, has stocked the store with cursed costumes. As the gang dons their outfits and heads out for the evening, they suddenly find themselves transformed into their costume characters. Buffy becomes an 18th-century noblewoman, Xander turns into a military soldier, and Willow is now a ghost.

As chaos ensues around town, Giles teams up with Ethan to put an end to the curse and help the gang regain their true identities before it's too late. Meanwhile, things at the party take a dangerous turn when a group of real vampires show up, intent on wreaking havoc.

As always, Buffy is quick to take action, but her newfound persona as a noblewoman leads to major obstacles in her fight against the undead. Xander's newfound strength and military training prove to be helpful, but Willow is struggling to come to terms with being a ghost and her inability to physically help.

The episode is full of action, humor, and plenty of Halloween scares. It also touches on themes of identity and how we perceive ourselves, both in terms of our outward appearances and our internal struggles.

Overall, the Halloween episode is a standout in the series and a fan favorite. It perfectly captures the spooky and fun nature of the holiday while also advancing the ongoing plot of the show and its characters.
