Call Me Fitz is a Canadian television show that first aired on The 101 channel in 2010. The show is a dark comedy series about a morally challenged car salesman named Richard "Fitz" Fitzpatrick (played by Jason Priestley). The show’s plot revolves around Fitz’s life, who is a car salesman at a used car dealership in small-town Canada.

The first season of the show establishes Fitz's persona as a self-destructive salesman, a womanizer, and an alcoholic. Despite his personal issues, Fitz can charm his way in and out of any situation with his honeyed words and false promises. Fitz lives life on the edge, constantly getting into trouble, and always finding unique ways to get out of it.

The show explores themes of morality and redemption, as Fitz struggles to come to terms with his past and strives to make amends for his misdeeds; his erratic behavior and habits are something that he keeps hidden from his friends, family, and clients. His addiction to sex, drugs, and alcohol is always on the verge of being exposed to the world.

Fitz's life changes when he is visited by a woman claiming to be his conscience (played by Tracy Dawson). This woman is his "moral compass," and she appears at different times to guide him in the right direction or to chastise him for his behavior. Although Fitz is skeptical of her at first, he soon realizes that she is genuine and that she has been sent to help him get his life back on track.

Over the course of the series, Fitz experiences a roller coaster ride of highs and lows, with his moral compass guiding him towards his ultimate goal of redemption. The show's characters include a wide cast, including Fitz’s loyal assistant, Josh (played by Husein Madhavji), his manipulative mistress, Ali (played by Brooke Nevin), his estranged father, Larry (played by Peter MacNeill), and his competitive sister, Debbie (played by Kathleen Munroe).

Throughout the series, the characters grapple with their individual issues and how they intertwine with Fitz's personal problems. They form a tight bond, even while dealing with Fitz's issues that are frictional enough to tear them apart.

Each episode of the show provides a unique perspective and provides a new challenge for Fitz and his family as they try to negotiate their way through their lives. Relationships are constantly tested, and each character has a significant role to play in Fitz's unfolding journey of becoming a better person.

The music of the show is also a highlight, featuring songs from classic 80s and 90s rock bands, including Cheap Trick, U2, Oingo Boingo, and more. The soundtrack adds an extra layer of fun and depth to the show, making it engaging and enjoyable for viewers.

Overall, Call Me Fitz is a character-driven show with complex, relatable characters, and an engaging storyline. The show is successful in turning a morally corrupt protagonist into a likable, even lovable character, making viewers root for his redemption. With its dark humor, excellent cast, and a pedal-to-the-metal plot, Call Me Fitz is a must-watch for fans of black comedies or fans of Jason Priestley.

Call Me Fitz is a series that is currently running and has 4 seasons (51 episodes). The series first aired on April 21, 2011.
