Cheap Seats was a comedy television show that aired on ESPN from 2004 through 2006 starring Randy Sklar and Jason Sklar. The show was a spin-off of sorts from the brothers' previous work on ESPN Classic's Cheap Seats without Ron Parker, which had a similar format but focused on old, obscure games from across the spectrum of sports.

The premise of the show was relatively simple. Randy and Jason would watch old, usually terrible sporting events, while providing humorous commentary throughout. These were usually obscure games, often from the world of college sports, that had been mostly forgotten by history. The games were interspersed with commentary and sketches from the brothers, providing plenty of comedic relief and a fresh perspective on sports from a comedic standpoint.

Despite the show's title, Cheap Seats was not actually shot on a budget. The production had a high level of polish, with a well-lit set and quality sound recording. The brothers were frequently dressed in matching outfits and produced a high-energy performance throughout. The show was shot in front of a live audience, which added to the energy and allowed the brothers to interact with the crowd.

The brothers' humor was irreverent, self-deprecating, and often involved parodying various personalities from the world of sports broadcasting. They would often impersonate well-known commentators, with Randy mimicking Keith Olbermann and Jason taking on the persona of Jim Rome, among others. The brothers often played off each other, with the humor ranging from slapstick physical comedy to more intellectual or literary references.

One of the funniest recurring segments on the show was called "That's Adorable," in which the brothers would show clips of child athletes achieving modest-to-middling feats in their respective sports. The brothers would often make fun of the kids for their lack of talent and, occasionally, their lack of athletic ability. However, the segment was always good-natured, and the boys never took themselves too seriously.

Another mainstay of the show was a segment called "Do You Care?" in which the brothers would present a seemingly random sports topic and ask each other whether or not they cared. This particular element of the show was relatively simple but incredibly effective in highlighting the absurdity of sports fandom. The brothers would often disagree, and it was amusing to see how different aspects of sports and competition could elicit different reactions in each viewer.

One thing that kept the show fresh and interesting was its focus on sports that are usually ignored by mainstream media. The Sklar brothers would often cover sports like ultimate frisbee or European handball, which are not popular in the US but are highly competitive in other countries. By doing this, the show was able to find a niche audience of fans who appreciated the Sklar's unique perspective on these sports.

Overall, Cheap Seats was a funny, well-produced show that had a lot of fans during its time on the air. It was beloved by fans of sports, fans of comedy, and fans of the Sklar brothers, who brought their unique humor and perspective to the show. Though it only aired for a few short years, it left an indelible mark on the world of sports commentary and comedy.
