Ep 3. Chi Remembers

"Chi Remembers" is the third episode of Chobits season 1. The episode begins with Hideki and Chi preparing for their usual morning routine. After Minoru disconnects from Chi's hard drive, they discover that her memory was corrupted and that she can't remember anything beyond a certain point. Shinbo suggests visiting other scientists who might be able to restore Chi's lost memories. Hideki, Minoru, and Shinbo take Chi on a visit to several labs in search of a solution.

As Chi wanders around the labs, she overhears a conversation about a "Chobit"; one of the scientists reveals that he has a Chobit in a secret lab. When Chi tries to leave, the scientist catches her and reveals that he had been searching for a Chobit and wants to use her to complete his research. The episode ends with Hideki and the other scientists rescuing Chi from captivity.
