Ep 9. Champions' Tournament: Part 3

In this episode of Chopped, four past champions return to compete in the third part of the Champions' Tournament. The competition is fierce as each chef attempts to outdo the others with their culinary skills.

The first round begins with a basket of unusual ingredients including chicken feet, black garlic, rhubarb, and kholrabi. These ingredients present a real challenge for the chefs, who must come up with inventive ways to incorporate them into their dishes.

As the clock ticks down, tensions rise in the kitchen as the chefs work to finish their dishes in time. The judges taste each creation and critique the chefs' use of the mystery ingredients. One chef is eliminated, leaving the remaining three to move on to the next round.

For the second round, the chefs are given a basket that includes hamachi collars, wasabi root, baby leeks, and quail eggs. With only thirty minutes to create their dishes, the chefs scramble to come up with creative ways to use these ingredients.

The pressure is high as the judges taste each dish and score them on presentation, taste, and creativity. One chef is once again eliminated, leaving the final two competitors to face off in the dessert round.

For the dessert round, the two chefs must create a sweet dish using a basket of mystery ingredients that include popcorn, dried figs, goat cheese, and verjus. The chefs have only twenty minutes to create their desserts, and must be careful not to let the clock get the best of them.

As the judges taste the final dishes, they take note of every flavor and texture. The winner is ultimately chosen based on the strength and creativity of their overall three-course meal.

In the end, only one chef is crowned the champion of this round of the Champions' Tournament. With their culinary skills and creativity, they have proven once again that they are truly a master in the kitchen.
