Ep 17. Chuck Versus the Living Dead

In the Chuck season 3 episode 17 titled "Chuck Versus the Living Dead," Chuck and the rest of the gang are tasked with protecting rockstar Tyler Martin. The mission is tasked by The Big Bad, who is an unidentified villain attempting to garner significant power in the underground market.

The episode starts with Tyler Martin agreeing to meet Greta, his online admirer. However, when Greta shows up at Tyler's door, she turns out to be an assassin. Chuck and Sarah arrive at the scene to save Tyler, but they are too late. Tyler has already been drugged and kidnapped by Greta.

Chuck, Sarah, and Casey start tracking Tyler's whereabouts to find him before it's too late. Meanwhile, Tyler's bodyguards become ill, and their condition is quickly deteriorating. The team realizes that Tyler's bodyguards have been poisoned with a toxin called 'Zombie Death Poison,' which simulates the effects of death.

As they go deeper into their investigation to figure out who's behind the kidnapping, they meet Hugo Panzer, who is the creator of the toxin. He informs them that the Zombie Death Poison is nearly impossible to cure, and Tyler will remain in a deathlike state until the antidote is administered. To make matters worse, the antidote is sold only on the black market, and it is very expensive.

Chuck and the team devise a plan to infuse Tyler's manager's fake diamond with a tracking device and put it up for auction on the black market. Someone does end up bidding on the fake diamond, the team realizes that they have been tricked. Instead of cashing in on the fake diamond, the team comes face to face with the perpetrator, revealing who The Big Bad is.

The person behind the plot reveals himself as Carina Miller, a former spy who has worked with both Chuck and Sarah in the past. She reveals that she is working for another organization that is bent on creating a new world order where the powerful rule over the weak. In essence, she is working for a group that wants to establish their dominance in the shadow market.

After capturing Carina and taking her down, Sarah comes up with a plan to rescue Tyler from the criminals holding him hostage. In executing her plan, Sarah puts her life in danger to save Tyler's life.

After performing a nearly impossible mission to save Tyler and defeat The Big Bad, the team succeeds, and Tyler is saved. The episode ends with the team celebrating Tyler's survival. Overall, the Chuck season 3 episode 17, 'Chuck Versus the Living Dead' brings the same level of action, adventure, and humor that fans of the series have come to appreciate.
