Ep 6. North London: All in One

Come Dine with Me is a popular British cooking competition where five strangers take turns hosting dinner parties at their homes over the course of five days. Each contestant is judged by the other four on their food and hosting skills, with the winner taking home a cash prize.

In season 34 episode 6, titled "North London: All in One," we meet four eclectic contestants from the vibrant and diverse area of North London. First up is 28-year-old Mia, a self-proclaimed "hippy chef" who prides herself on using only organic and vegan ingredients in her cooking. Her menu for the evening includes a variety of raw and health-conscious dishes, such as kale chips and avocado hummus, followed by a vegan lasagna. But will her guests appreciate her unconventional approach to cooking?

Next up is 67-year-old retiree Derek, who has a passion for fine dining and a collection of vintage tableware to match. His formal dinner party includes classic dishes such as lamb chops and creme brulee, but with a twist, as he likes to experiment with different flavors and ingredients. Will Derek impress his guests with his culinary skills, or will his penchant for perfection be his downfall?

Third in the lineup is 36-year-old Priya, a bubbly and outgoing finance worker with a flair for Indian cuisine. Her menu for the evening includes a selection of appetizers ranging from samosas to tandoori chicken skewers, followed by a traditional biryani and a mango lassi for dessert. But will her guests be able to handle the spiciness of her dishes, or will it be too much for their palates to handle?

Last but not least is 43-year-old art teacher Tim, who describes himself as a "creative cook" inspired by his travels and love for art. His quirky menu includes a seafood cocktail with an artistic presentation, followed by a Moroccan-style chicken and couscous dish, and finished off with a show-stopping dessert inspired by the works of Salvador Dali. But will his guests appreciate his avant-garde approach to food, or will they find it too pretentious?

Throughout the episode, we see the contestants bond over their shared love of food and their diverse backgrounds and personalities. And with each dinner party, the tension and competitiveness between them grows as they try to outdo each other in the kitchen.
