Country Music Awards

The American Country Awards is an awards shows that started in 2010 and its voted by the fans. The awards show is created by Fox Network, and music artists include video, touring and music categories. The category of "Song of the Year" was added in 2012, but the nominations come from the Nashville Songwriters International Association. In addition to this awards show, there three other award shows that are completely dedicated to country music. They award shows are: the CMA Awards, the ACM Awards, and the CMT Music Awards.

The first show was held on December 6, 2010, and it was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The second ever awards show was held at the same location on December 5, 2011. The awards show for 2012 will be held at The Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's scheduled to take place on Monday, December 10. Luke Bryan has been nominated for the most awards this year with seven, and Lady Antebeelum and Zac Brown Band are tied for six nominations. The following respective three singers have been nominated for five awards:: Jason Aldean, Eric Church and Taylor Swift.

The categories of the show are: Artist of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Duo or Group of the Year, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Album of the Year Carrie Underwood, Single of the Year, Male Artist Single of the Year, Female Artist Single of the Year, Duo or Group Single of the Year, Breakthrough Artist Single of the Year, Touring Headline Package of the Year, Music Video of the Year, Male Music Video, Female Music Video Carrie Underwood, Duo or Group Music Video, and Breakthrough Artist Music Video.
