Ep 2. Granny Gets a Gun

In season 10 episode 2 of Deadly Women entitled "Granny Gets a Gun," viewers are introduced to three women who take matters into their own hands and use firearms to commit crimes.

One day, Tonya manages to get a hold of her boyfriend's gun and shoots him to death. She then goes on the run with her children, eventually ending up in Florida. However, her past catches up with her and she is arrested. Tonya is eventually convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.

The final woman featured in this episode is a wealthy socialite from Boston named Amy. Amy is the wife of a successful businessman but becomes bored with her mundane lifestyle. She begins using drugs and having affairs, eventually falling in love with her personal trainer. When her husband refuses to give her a divorce or any money, Amy decides to take matters into her own hands. She hires a hitman to kill her husband and manages to get away with the crime for two years before being caught and arrested.

Throughout the episode, interviews with law enforcement officials and people who knew the women are intercut with dramatic reenactments of the crimes. The show delves into the psychology behind the women's actions and examines how their choices ultimately led to their downfall. Viewers are left with a chilling reminder that anyone, regardless of age or background, is capable of committing a heinous act.
