Deka Kurokawa Suzuki is a 2015 Japanese drama series created by the NTV channel, which also broadcasts the show. The series was directed by Ryuichi Honda and is directly based upon the popular Japanese fiction novels of Michio Takita. The plot follows the life and times of an aging detective on a small Japanese village in the far-flung countryside. He is an ace detective and a master of his craft with a first rate intellect; however, he is also extremely sensitive. He is quickly saddled with a young upstart whom he is expected to teacher.

However, the young man's extreme overconfidence blinds him to his own buffoonery.
