Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist is a science fiction animated television series that aired on Teletoon from May 2nd, 2008 to September 5th, 2009. The show follows the titular character, Dex Hamilton, as he travels through space to protect different planets from dangerous insect-like aliens called "Buglies."

Dex Hamilton, voiced by Dwayne Hill, is a skilled entomologist who specializes in studying and understanding Buglies. His job is to identify and eradicate Buglies before they cause harm to the flora and fauna of different planets. He is joined by his team of experts, which includes Zap Monogan (voiced by Carter Hayden) - the tech-savvy pilot of their spaceship, and Jenny 10 - an intelligent and resourceful robot assistant.

The show is set in the future, where humans have colonized planets across the galaxy. The planets are inhabited by different species, including human-like aliens and other creatures. One of the recurring themes of the show is the importance of protecting and preserving the ecological balance of each planet.

Each episode of Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist sees the team traveling to a new planet to deal with a new type of Buglie. The Buglies in this show are creative and original, often taking a variety of forms - from giant, flying insects that shoot acid to spider-like creatures that use camouflage to avoid detection.

Dex and his team must use their knowledge and skills to come up with strategies to defeat each Buglie. The show features a lot of scientific jargon, which may be difficult for younger viewers to understand, but it does help to make the world of the show feel more authentic.

The production design of the show is top-notch, with a lot of attention to detail put into the different planets, spaceships, and creatures. The animation style is 3D, which adds a lot of depth and dimension to the visuals.

Aside from the action and adventure, the show also has a lot of heart. Dex is a likable character who is genuinely invested in protecting the planets and their inhabitants. He also has a strong bond with his team, and their interactions often provide some of the show's funniest and most touching moments.

Stephanie Anne Mills voices the character of Mara Specter, a recurring character who works for an organization that opposes Dex and his team. Her character provides a nice contrast to Dex's optimistic and hopeful outlook, and her presence adds an additional layer of tension to each episode.

Overall, Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist is an entertaining and engaging science fiction series that will appeal to fans of action, adventure, and science. While some of the scientific terminology may be difficult for younger viewers to understand, the show never talks down to its audience and treats its subject matter with respect. If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly science fiction show, Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist is definitely worth checking out.

Dex Hamilton: Alien Entomologist is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (26 episodes). The series first aired on November 22, 2008.
