In the third episode of season 17 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri explores the culinary masterpieces created by dynamic duos of chefs and partners. From coast to coast, Fieri highlights the culinary chemistry shared by these pairs and the tasty dishes that result from their collaboration.

The episode begins in Milford, Michigan, where Fieri visits Palate, a charming eatery run by husband-and-wife team Nick and Nicole Janutol. The duo takes pride in their locally sourced ingredients, creating unique dishes such as the "Esparragas"- roasted asparagus served with pancetta, a soft cooked egg and mustard hollandaise. Fieri is blown away by the flavors and textures of their dishes and impressed by their creative vision.

Next, Fieri heads to Minneapolis, Minnesota, to visit the duo behind the popular restaurant Nighthawks. Co-owners Landon Schoenefeld and Nick O'Leary put their own spin on American diner classics, such as the "Hot Chick" sandwich, a spicy take on the fried chicken sandwich, or the "Bun Cha"- an Asian inspired take on a burger. Fieri praises their attention to detail and their ability to elevate classic dishes.

In Evanston, Illinois, Fieri visits the father-daughter team behind Chef's Station, Joung and Katie Kim. The Kims blend their Korean heritage with their passion for French cuisine to create dishes such as the "Kimchi Tarte Tatin," a heavenly mergence of sweet caramelized apples and spicy, fermented kimchi. Fieri commends their ingenuity and the bold flavors that pack a punch with every bite.

Heading down to San Diego, California, Fieri meets up with husband-and-wife duo Hanis Cavin and Sara Stroud, owners of the popular neighborhood hotspot, Carnitas' Snack Shack. The pair has a shared love for pig, which is showcased in every dish they serve- from the crispy pork belly sandwich to the famous carnitas tacos. Fieri notes their seamless teamwork and the mouth-watering flavors that make their joint venture a must-visit.

In the final stop on his tour, Fieri finds himself in Brooklyn, New York, at the bustling kitchen of Nargis Cafe. The Russian eatery is run by the husband-and-wife duo, Boris and Marina Zeldin. Their specialties include the "Manti," a dish of delicate lamb dumplings, and the "Zharkoe," slow-cooked beef stew with vegetables and potatoes. Fieri is in awe of the pair's ability to bring the traditional flavors of Russia to Brooklyn, and the care they put into every dish.

Throughout the episode, Fieri showcases the unique perspective, remarkable teamwork, and boundless creativity that culminate in the delicious, dynamic dishes served by these duos. The viewer is left with a sense of inspiration and admiration for the passion and dedication that bring these culinary couples together.
