In this episode of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, host Guy Fieri travels around the world without ever leaving the country as he samples some of the most flavorful and exotic dishes from various international cuisines.
First up, Guy heads to Los Angeles to try out some authentic Persian cuisine at a restaurant called Shamshiri. He samples a variety of dishes including lamb chops, kabobs, and stews, all served with traditional Persian sides like rice and grilled tomatoes.
Next, Guy travels to Miami to check out a restaurant called La Camaronera. This family-owned spot is known for its fresh seafood and Cuban-inspired dishes, so Guy tries out their famous pan con minuta sandwich, which features fried fish filets, onions, and tartar sauce on a soft roll.
Moving on to Houston, Guy visits a restaurant called Korea House to taste some delicious Korean dishes like bulgogi and bibimbap. He also tries out some lesser-known Korean specialties like mung bean pancakes and crispy green onion pancakes.
After Houston, Guy heads to Las Vegas to visit a restaurant called Saffron Flavors of India. Here, he gets to sample some of the most authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine from around the country, including dishes like chicken tikka masala, lamb curry, and butter chicken.
Finally, Guy heads to Boston to check out a restaurant called Neptune Oyster. This cozy little spot is known for its fresh seafood, and Guy tries out their famous lobster roll – a must-try for any seafood lover.
Throughout the episode, Guy is blown away by the incredible flavors and diversity of international cuisine found throughout the country. From Persian to Cuban to Korean to Indian and beyond, the Intercontinental Flavorfest truly lives up to its name.
