In season 3 episode 4 of Dog Whisperer, titled "Wilshire & Butch," Cesar Millan takes on the challenge of two very different dogs with behavioral issues.

First, he meets Wilshire, a high-energy Weimaraner who is overly excitable and jumps on everyone she meets. Her owners, a newly married couple, are struggling to control her and are worried about her behavior around children.

Cesar observes that Wilshire is a very smart dog who needs a lot of physical exercise to release her excess energy. He works with her owners to set up a daily routine of exercise and discipline, including teaching them how to use a treadmill to give Wilshire a workout indoors. Cesar also shows them how to establish clear boundaries and uses his signature "calm assertive" energy to help Wilshire feel more relaxed and secure.

In the second part of the episode, Cesar meets Butch, a nine-year-old bulldog who has become aggressive towards his owner's young son. Butch's family is worried that they may have to give him up if his behavior doesn't improve.

Cesar observes that Butch has been the "boss" of the household for a long time, and that his aggression is a result of feeling threatened by the young child's presence. He works with Butch's owners to establish clear boundaries and a consistent routine, as well as teaching them how to use a "bark collar" to correct Butch's aggressive behavior.

Cesar also spends time working one-on-one with Butch, teaching him how to walk on a leash without pulling and how to respond to his owner's commands. Through a combination of exercise, discipline, and affection, Cesar helps Butch regain his confidence and become a happier, more well-behaved dog.

Throughout the episode, Cesar emphasizes the importance of creating a calm and consistent environment for dogs, and how his "calm assertive" energy can help dogs feel more secure and relaxed. "Wilshire & Butch" is a heartwarming and educational episode that shows how even the most challenging behavior issues can be resolved with the right training and approach.
