Throughout the episode, there are also hints of a larger conspiracy at play. A group of mysterious men are seen plotting in secret, and it becomes clear that they are working to undermine King Sukjong's rule. Dong Yi becomes unwittingly caught up in their plans when she is tasked with delivering a message to one of the conspirators.
