Dorm Life is a mockumentary-style comedy series from AttentionSpan.TV that aired in 2008. Created by Jack DeSena and Mike Rose, the show follows the daily lives of a colorful cast of characters who live in the fictional dormitory, Berkshire Hall. The main focus of the show is on the eight residents of Berkshire Hall. There's Chad (Jack DeSena), the good-looking but somewhat clueless jock who is often more concerned with his appearance than his academic performance. Then there's Courtney (Nora Kirkpatrick), a perky and optimistic transfer student who is excited to make friends and fit in. Other residents include the socially awkward and introverted Hannah (Dominique Martinez), the confident and outgoing Bobby (Tommy Savas), and the nerdy and sarcastic Edgar (Chris Smith).

Each episode of Dorm Life explores different social situations and issues that are relatable to college students. One episode focuses on the intense pressure to find a roommate before the start of the school year, while another deals with the pain of breakups and moving on. The show also tackles topics related to diversity and inclusion, such as the struggles that LGBTQ+ students may face in a heteronormative environment.

Throughout the series, the residents of Berkshire Hall interact with each other and the larger campus community, leading to a variety of hilarious hijinks and mishaps. From epic pranks to questionable decisions made while under the influence, the characters in Dorm Life are constantly getting themselves into trouble, but ultimately find a way to come out stronger and closer as a community.

One of the standout elements of Dorm Life is its ability to blend humor with heart. While the show is undeniably funny, it also has moments of genuine emotional impact. These moments are often brought about by the realistic and relatable performances of the cast, who bring depth and nuance to their characters.

Another aspect of the show that sets it apart is its use of a mockumentary style. The characters frequently break the fourth wall, addressing the camera directly and offering their own insights and commentary on the situations around them. This adds a layer of meta humor that elevates the show above more generic college comedies.

Despite its relatively short run, Dorm Life has remained beloved by its fanbase. Many viewers appreciate the show's ability to capture the ups and downs of college life in a way that feels authentic and true to their own experiences. Additionally, the show's relatability and humor have helped it stand the test of time, even as the landscape of TV comedy has evolved in the years since its release.

In the end, Dorm Life is a charming and entertaining show that deserves more attention than it received during its original airing. Though it only lasted for two seasons, it left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who watched it, and remains a cult favorite to this day.
