However, after he repeatedly canceled their in-person meetings and refused to video chat, Samantha began to suspect he might not be who he claimed to be.

As we delve deeper into Samantha's story, it becomes clear that her online obsession has put her in a dangerous situation. Not only has she maxed out multiple credit cards to send money to the man she believes is her boyfriend, but she has also agreed to be his proxy in receiving and shipping packages, which could potentially put her in legal trouble.

Dr. Phil takes both Gabrielle and Samantha through a series of exercises designed to help them better understand the impact of their online habits on their lives and relationships. They also speak to a cybercrime expert who helps them understand the risks of engaging with strangers online.

Throughout the episode, Dr. Phil emphasizes the importance of setting healthy boundaries and finding balance in our use of technology. He stresses that while online relationships can be fulfilling, they can also be dangerous if we're not careful.
