A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words / The Talent Pool is the eighth episode of the first season of Dragon Tales.

In the first segment, A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words, Ord is having a hard time expressing himself and sharing his feelings with his friends. When the group finds a camera and take pictures of each other, Ord becomes frustrated when he can't seem to capture the perfect shot. When his photo turns out to be blank, he realizes that sometimes it's better to express himself through words rather than images. He learns to open up to his friends and express himself verbally, which helps him feel happier and closer to his friends.

In the second segment, The Talent Pool, the dragons are excited to participate in the upcoming Talent Show. Max is struggling to find his talent, but with the help of his friends, he discovers he has a knack for making sound effects. Emmy decides to showcase her singing talents, but becomes nervous when she hears that the competition is fierce. With the support of her friends, she learns to push through her fears and share her beautiful voice with everyone.

Overall, A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words / The Talent Pool teaches important lessons about expressing oneself and finding one's own talents. Through teamwork and encouragement, the dragons learn to support each other and embrace their unique abilities.
