Dragon Tales was a beloved animated children's show that aired on PBS from 1999 to 2005. Steve Burns, Joshua Dela Cruz, and Donovan Patton starred as the voices of the show's characters. The show followed the adventures of two siblings, Emmy and Max, who stumble upon a magical dragon scale and are transported to the fantastical world of Dragon Land. There, they meet a group of friendly dragons and embark on exciting adventures and learn valuable life lessons along the way.

The dragons, who all have their own unique personalities and abilities, included Ord, a loveable blue dragon who is always eager to please; Cassie, a pink dragon with a dreamy and imaginative spirit; Zak and Wheezie, two entertaining and mischievous purple dragons who are always up for a good time; and Quetzal, a wise and gentle dragon who acts as a mentor to Emmy and Max.

Throughout the series, Emmy and Max must navigate the ups and downs of their new world, learning important lessons about friendship, self-confidence, and problem-solving. Alongside their dragon friends, they must face challenges such as rescuing princesses, fixing broken magical items, and even helping the dragons overcome their own fears and insecurities.

The show's bright and whimsical animation style captivated young viewers, while its engaging and relatable storytelling made it a hit with parents and educators alike. In addition to its entertaining adventures, Dragon Tales also included educational elements, such as teaching basic counting and problem-solving skills to its young audience.

The show's talented voice cast helped bring the lovable characters to life. Steve Burns, who also hosted the popular children's show Blue's Clues, voiced the character of Max. Joshua Dela Cruz, who went on to become the host of the latest iteration of Blue's Clues, voiced Enrique, a young boy who later joins Emmy and Max on their adventures. Donovan Patton, who played the role of Joe on Blue's Clues, voiced the character of Bot, a robotic dragon who provides comedic relief throughout the series.

Dragon Tales proved to be a beloved and enduring children's show, earning critical acclaim and numerous awards during its six-season run. Its positive messages of friendship, self-confidence, and problem-solving continue to resonate with viewers of all ages today.
