After successfully defending the palace against the Bayan's attack, Seung-nyang is proclaimed a national hero. To thank her for her service, Wang Yu bestows upon her a pair of golden dragon claws. Meanwhile, Tanasiri continues to manipulate Togon into believing that Seung-nyang is conspiring against him, causing him to become even more suspicious of her.

Seung-nyang, on the other hand, is preoccupied with her feelings for Wang Yu. She pays a visit to him late at night, and they finally confess their love for each other. However, their newfound happiness is short-lived as Tanasiri's henchmen raid the room, attempting to arrest Wang Yu for treason. Seung-nyang and Wang Yu put up a fierce fight but are eventually overpowered and arrested.

In prison, Wang Yu is tortured for information, but he refuses to betray Seung-nyang or reveal his true intentions. Meanwhile, Seung-nyang is forced to serve Tanasiri and Togon as a court maid. She remains determined to save Wang Yu and plots her next move carefully.

Back at the palace, Bayan senses an opportunity to take over and instigate a rebellion against the emperor. He enlists the help of a trusted ally and begins to stir up dissent among the soldiers. Togon, still struggling with his paranoia, becomes increasingly agitated and unable to make rational decisions. Tanasiri sees this as an opportunity to take control and convinces him to execute one of his trusted guards.

Seung-nyang realizes that she must act fast to save Wang Yu and stop the impending rebellion. She cleverly manipulates Tanasiri and Togon into allowing her to accompany them on a trip to the countryside. There, she manages to make contact with the rebels and convinces them to join forces with her against The Bayan.

The episode climaxes with an epic battle between Seung-nyang and her army against Bayan and his rebels. The battle is intense and bloody, but Seung-nyang proves herself to be a fearless and brilliant military strategist. She outwits Bayan and deals a crushing blow to his forces, leaving him badly wounded and retreating. Seung-nyang emerges victorious and earns the respect and admiration of everyone around her.

The episode ends with Seung-nyang and Wang Yu finally reunited, but they are both aware that their lives will never be the same. Togon has grown even more paranoid and unstable, Tanasiri is plotting her next move, and Bayan is still a looming threat. The stakes have never been higher, and Seung-nyang must continue to fight for what she believes in if she hopes to survive and protect her loved ones.
