Ep 2. Try, Try Again

In the second episode of season two of Eureka, entitled "Try, Try Again," the town is preparing for the annual "Founder's Day" celebration, which commemorates the day Eureka was established. However, things take a turn for the worse when a device created by a scientist at Global Dynamics goes haywire, causing a massive explosion that destroys several buildings in town.

As the investigation into the explosion begins, Sheriff Jack Carter and his team soon discover that the device that caused the explosion was designed to create a "time shield," which would allow the user to travel back in time and make changes to the past. However, the device malfunctioned and instead rewound time just a few hours, causing the explosion and the destruction of several buildings.

Determined to find out what went wrong with the device, Carter turns to the scientist who created it, a woman named Kim Anderson. Anderson explains that the device was still in the testing phase and that she had not yet been able to remove all the bugs from the system. However, she is confident that she can fix the device and prevent any further accidents.

As Anderson works on fixing the device, Carter becomes increasingly frustrated by the constant rewinding of time and the inability to make any progress in the investigation. However, he soon realizes that the constantly repeating cycle may hold the key to solving the case.

With the help of his colleagues, Carter follows a series of clues and eventually discovers the true cause of the explosion. But as the day continues to repeat itself, he must find a way to break the cycle and prevent the catastrophe from happening again.

As the episode draws to a close, it becomes clear that the true lesson of the day is not just about preventing explosions or solving a complicated case, but about the importance of perseverance and the willingness to try, try again, no matter how many times it takes to get it right.
