Ep 10. I-Guana Dance With You

When Emma starts to take her magic classes more seriously, Maddie and her friends start to plot against her. Maddie begins to feel more and more threatened by Emma's quick progress and so she invites her on a bus ride to the Everglades where they'll be able to search for the Honu guardian in hopes of stealing her powers and keeping Emma far behind.

As Emma is busy honing her powers, Maddie and her friends take the opportunity to sneak into the Everglades where the Honu guardian is located. As they wander through the Wyrmwood Swamp, they come across what they believe to be the guardian's lair but things take a turn for the worse when they realise they've stumbled upon the dangerous and fierce Iguana creature instead.

Back at school, Emma's friends pick up on Maddie's sudden disappearance and realise that something's not right. They quickly form a search party in hopes of finding her, and eventually end up coming across Maddie and her friends in the middle of the swamp. Things quickly turn from bad to worse when they realise they've walked into the middle of an all-out battle.

With Iguanas on every side, the group realizes that they'll need to work together in order to make it out alive. They employ their own magic abilities in order to protect themselves against the vicious beasts and it seems like they'll be able to make it out unscathed, until they realise that the Honu guardian has appeared.

Desperate to get her powers, Maddie sets her sights on the guardian. But even with her powerful abilities, she realizes that she might not be able to take on the Honu guardian. As they battle it out, it becomes clear that whoever prevails will earn the title of the most powerful witch in the land.

In the end, it's revealed that there's an unlikely winner in the battle over the Honu guardian's powers. But it's clear that this win comes at a heavy price, and as the group slowly makes their way out of the swamp, it becomes clear that the magic world isn't as simple as they once thought it was.
