Ep 5. The Fool Moon

Emma Alonso is a young witch in Miami, Florida, and this is the story of her life. She has gone through a lot of ups and downs in her journey, but her journey hasn't stopped yet. Every Witch Way season 3 episode 5, "The Fool Moon," begins with Emma talking to her best friend Andi about another magical situation that has come up.

The episode starts with Emma getting a message from Andi that she's just seen Gigi, who seems to be doing things that make no sense. Emma understands immediately that Gigi's behavior is the work of a full moon, which is the time when humans and witches behave rather erratically. She knows that Gigi must be under a spell and decides to cast a spell of her own to counter it.

On the other hand, Daniel, Emma's ex-boyfriend and current friend, is heading a school committee to change the Halloween theme of the school dance from Scream Fest to something more colorful and incorporating animals. Emma is not happy with the idea, but she agrees to it after some cajoling from Daniel.

The full moon is coming, and Emma's parents send her to the Panic Room, a place where witches go to keep safe during the full moon. She doesn't want to go, but she's forced to, and she takes the opportunity to experiment with magic using her new bracelet. The bracelet allows her to cast spells using all her elemental powers, though she's warned against using them together.

Meanwhile, Gigi arrives in Miami and meets up with Diego, who is confused by her behavior. Emma's spell seems to stop working, and Andi tells her that it must be because something is blocking the magical energy. Emma realizes that this is because she used all her powers together, and they must be separated immediately.

Gigi continues to wreak havoc on Diego's life, and Emma and Andi create a tracking spell to find out where the energy is coming from. They discover that Gigi is responsible and that she has taken a grimoire to show off her magical prowess to Diego.

As Gigi is showing off to Diego, she begins to lose control of her powers, and everyone at the dance is affected by her magic. Emma arrives at the scene to defeat Gigi, but Gigi's powers are stronger than Emma's, and she is defeated. Emma thinks she has lost the fight, but her friends come through for her, and she finally takes down Gigi.

As the full moon sets, Emma and her friends are relieved that the magic has gone back to normal. Emma tells her friends that she is still in control of her powers, but she must use them responsibly. She apologizes to Daniel, who forgives her, and they make up.
