The show F Troop is a western-comedy television series that aired in the late 1960s. The season 1 episode 2 is titled "Don't Look Now but One of Our Cannons is Missing" and follows the comic misadventures of the cavalry soldiers stationed at Fort Courage.

The episode begins with the soldiers of F Troop, including Captain Wilton Parmenter, the bumbling and naive commanding officer, preparing for a military inspection. However, things quickly go awry when they discover that one of their cannons has gone missing. Surprisingly, the cannon appears to have been stolen by members of the Hekawi tribe, who are known for their pacifist ways and love of trade.

Despite the Hekawi tribe's peaceful reputation, Captain Parmenter is convinced that they are responsible for stealing the cannon and sets out to find evidence to prove his theory. His search leads him to the tribe's trading post, where he discovers that they have indeed traded the cannon for a shipment of chocolate.

Meanwhile, Sergeant O'Rourke, the crafty Irishman, sees an opportunity to profit from the situation and hatches a plan to retrieve the cannon and sell it back to the army for a hefty profit. He recruits his sidekick, Corporal Agarn, and together they come up with a scheme to distract the Hekawi guards and steal back the cannon.

Their plan goes awry when they accidentally knock out the guards and are mistaken for hostile intruders by the rest of the tribe. They quickly find themselves on trial, where they face the Hekawi's unique system of justice, which involves a series of absurd tests of strength and endurance.

As O'Rourke and Agarn struggle to prove their innocence, Captain Parmenter realizes that he has been wrong about the Hekawi and decides to help them out of the kindness of his heart. He teams up with the tribe's chief, Wild Eagle, and together they devise a plan to prove that the cannon was actually stolen by a group of bandits.

In the end, the cannon is retrieved, the Hekawi are exonerated, and the soldiers of F Troop are left to reflect on the absurdity of their situation. The episode ends with a musical number featuring the entire cast, performing a lighthearted song that sums up the zany antics of the show.

Overall, "Don't Look Now but One of Our Cannons is Missing" is a classic example of the quirky humor and offbeat charm that made F Troop such a beloved series. It's a fun and entertaining episode that showcases the show's unique blend of satire, slapstick, and irreverent humor.
