Ep 8. The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards

  • August 31, 2015

Fashion Police season 10 episode 8 is all about the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. The episode is full of wild and crazy fashion choices, as the VMA's are known for being one of the more daring red carpets of the year.

The episode kicks off with the Fashion Police crew discussing some of their favorite looks from the night. Melissa Rivers, Giuliana Rancic, Brad Goreski, and Margaret Cho all chime in with their opinions, and the banter is lively and entertaining.

The crew starts by discussing some of the more conservative looks of the night, including Taylor Swift's glittery crop top and maxi skirt combo and Selena Gomez's understated LBD. But it's not long before they move on to the more outlandish looks, with Miley Cyrus' barely-there outfits getting plenty of attention.

Goreski is a big fan of Cyrus' daring style, citing her sequined suspenders and pink hair as some of his favorite looks of the night. Cho, on the other hand, cannot get past Cyrus' nipple pasties, which she deems "just too much."

The crew also discusses some of the other notable fashion choices of the night, including Nicki Minaj's colorful red carpet ensemble, Kanye West's ripped denim jacket, and Justin Bieber's white t-shirt and ripped jeans look. Rancic and Rivers both love Minaj's over-the-top style, with Rancic calling it "fantastic" and Rivers notably stating that she "never met a zipper I didn't like."

As the discussion turns to the men's fashion of the night, Goreski and Rivers both give props to Ed Sheeran, who looked sharp in a classic black suit and bowtie. Cho, however, can't resist poking fun at Kanye's denim jacket, calling it "something my dad would wear to a barbecue."

Of course, no discussion of the VMAs would be complete without a mention of Lady Gaga, who never disappoints when it comes to fashion. The crew spends a good chunk of time dissecting her multiple looks of the night, including a meat dress, a white pantsuit with a matching hat, and a sparkly red gown.

Overall, the crew agrees that Gaga killed it on the red carpet, with Rivers especially impressed by her ability to pull off such a range of styles. And while Cho can't seem to stop laughing at the meat dress, she ultimately gives Gaga credit for taking risks and pushing the envelope when it comes to fashion.

The episode wraps up with a quick round of "Love It or Hate It," with the crew giving their lightning-fast opinions on a handful of celeb looks from the night. They all agree that Demi Lovato's red gown was a showstopper, but they're split on whether or not they liked Vanessa Hudgens's bohemian ensemble.

Ultimately, though, it's clear that the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards provided plenty of material for the Fashion Police crew to dissect and discuss. From Miley's barely-there outfits to Gaga's meat dress, there was no shortage of wild and wacky fashion to debate. Whether you loved the looks or hated them, this episode is sure to entertain anyone with an interest in celebrity fashion.
