Ep 6. Bowie

In the sixth episode of Flight of the Conchords season 1, titled "Bowie," the eccentric and iconic musician David Bowie makes an appearance as a fictionalized version of himself, played by actor Jemaine Clement (who also co-created the show with Bret McKenzie). As the episode progresses, Jemaine continues to see Bowie everywhere, and the two even have a jam session together in a dreamlike sequence. However, when Bret finally decides to confront Jemaine about his delusions, things come to a head and the two friends must work through their differences and rediscover their shared love of music. Along the way, they get to perform a number of Bowie-inspired songs, including one parodying his hit "Space Oddity" called "Bowie's in Space."

Overall, "Bowie" is a hilarious and heartwarming episode of Flight of the Conchords that showcases the show's unique and irreverent sense of humor. The appearance of Bowie himself lends an extra layer of surrealism and tongue-in-cheek homage to the proceedings, and the episode is full of memorable lines and musical moments.
