Ep 8. Pink Door / Mouse House

Flipping Vegas season 1 episode 8, Pink Door / Mouse House, follows the team of real estate investors, Scott and Amie Yancey, as they tackle two challenging properties in Las Vegas.

In the first half of the episode, Pink Door, the team takes on a house that was previously used as a marijuana grow operation. With the house reeking of the plant, the team must first remove all traces of the grow operation before beginning the renovation process. This includes tearing out all of the walls, flooring, and fixtures. Scott and Amie are also faced with the challenge of a pink front door that needs to be replaced, but the find themselves struggling to match the shade of pink to the rest of the house. To make matters worse, a downpour during the renovation causes a leak in the roof, which slows down the process even further. Will Scott and Amie be able to complete the renovation in time to make a profit?

In the second half of the episode, Mouse House, the team takes on a smaller property that looks like it was built for a mouse. The house is only 900 square feet and features a cramped layout that includes a small living room, one bathroom, and one bedroom. The house is also in need of a complete renovation that includes new flooring, paint, and fixtures. Scott and Amie have their work cut out for them as they try to come up with a creative solution for the small space. They decide to add an additional room by creating a sunroom out of the covered patio. They also use creative storage solutions and light colors to make the space feel more open and inviting. Will this small space be a big challenge or a big payoff for the Flipping Vegas team?

Throughout the episode, viewers get to see the challenges and rewards of renovating properties in Las Vegas. The team must deal with the unique challenges of the desert climate, such as extreme heat and monsoon season.
