Ultimately, they find Pavlov hiding in a bush, but not before Frasier and Niles both get into a heated argument about whose fault it was that the dog got lost.

The episode ends with Frasier realizing that he may not be cut out for dog ownership after all, and Lilith taking Frederick back to Boston with her. Niles, meanwhile, decides to take matters into his own hands and tries to disinfect Frasier’s apartment with a flamethrower.
