Ep 2. E 2

Haruka Nanase, who is known for his love for water, decides to join the Iwatobi Swim Club when his childhood friend, Makoto Tachibana, invites him. Upon joining he meets his other childhood friends, Nagisa Hazuki and Ryugazaki Rei who are determined to make the school's swim team popular again by winning the local competition. In the second episode titled "E2", the team comes together to train for the competition, but things do not go as smoothly as planned.

The team starts training at the local indoor pool, where they are met with some difficulties. Haruka, is usually very reserved, and doesn't show much emotion, but when it comes to the water, his passion soars. During the training, he faces his first obstacle when he is asked to swim the butterfly stroke, a very difficult stroke that requires a lot of energy. Despite not being comfortable with it, Haruka gives it a try but soon decides to give up after realizing how difficult it is. Makoto sees that Haruka is struggling and uses his experience to encourage him not to give up on the stroke and instead try to perfect it. Haruka eventually agrees and the team starts practicing the stroke together.

Next, the team runs into another problem when they are asked to swim in a relay race which requires them to pass a baton to each other during the swim. While they struggle to get the timing right, they eventually manage to perfect it. Throughout the training, the team members' bond strengthens and they become closer. Nagisa, the most energetic of the group, fills the air with his passion and enthusiasm, while Rei, the analytical member of the group, concentrates on perfecting his form.

As the competition nears, the team decides to visit the school's swimming pool. However, when they arrive, they are met with a shock seeing that the pool is not in good condition. The pool is dirty and filled with debris which renders it unusable. The team is saddened by this and decides to clean the pool themselves so that they can practice. While cleaning, the team realizes how special the pool is and how much pride they have in it, inspiring them to work even harder.

As the episode comes to a close, the Iwatobi Swim Club is shown to be making progress in their training and the team is looking forward to the upcoming competition. The show is an excellent sports anime that focuses on the beauty of swimming and its competitive sides. E2 is an important episode in the series as it shows the characters coming together to bond as a team and work towards achieving their goals. The animation is top-notch, and the story is well-written, making this episode an enjoyable and exciting watch.
